Some days Robin really resents having a devil fruit; not often, but sometimes. They’ve stopped at a vacant island and it’s a hot one. Robin’s sitting on a beach towel sipping on the juice Sanji prepared for her and is watching Usopp and Nami as they splash about in the water. There’s nothing Robin would like to do more than join them and dive into the ocean water. It looks so refreshing, especially with the relentless heat of the sun beaming down on them.

She wonders what it must feel like to be completely enveloped in water—not from drowning but by one’s own volition. Is it as freeing as it sounded?

As it is, though, she watches from the sand and takes another sip of her juice. Sadly, there are some things she’ll never know.
